We have received really excellent and sympathetic service from Sarah and the team at Waterside every step of the way. They have helped us to create a very personalised journey for our late mother, from a small private cremation service to a large memorial service, including the design and printing of beautiful bespoke orders of service, and finally to arranging the interment of her ashes with our late father and the engraving of his gravestone with her details. We are so grateful and would highly recommend Waterside to other families.

Far from impressed on first visit. No compassion, no introductions, just seemed to be in a hurry to get through the business as quickly as possible. Little help in answering our questions when actually we found most of the answers on their website afterwards! Decided to go elsewhere where they were very courteous, caring and helpful.

Lisa & Sarah were marvellous. The cup of tea they offered was needed when arranging something we were not expecting to do, nor had any idea what Dad wanted. Everything went smoothly and the Landrover they arranged to carry Dad in was brilliant. Thank you all.

Obviously at a terrible time it is vitally important that things are handled properly with care, dignity, respect and compassion. From the moment I entered the premises in Hythe I was treated extremely well. All was clear and straightforward, by this I mean costs as well as arrangements. My wishes were totally followed. Arrangements were quickly put in place, ready for me to confirm. Responses to emails were prompt. The funeral was conducted perfectly. Last minute changes by my sons were accommodated. This is a massively important service to the community and has to be done correctly. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

This was the 3rd time of using Waterside for our loved ones over the last 10 years. Every time they have been so kind and helpful and been so respectful to us and our loved ones. Their kindness and professionalism has made an upsetting time more bearable. We would like to thank all at Waterside Funeral Home, especially Sarah and Sally plus Helen from the Lyndhurst Office for their wonderful help at this very difficult time having to deal with clients from home via email and telephone due to working from home during lockdown. This was a very unusual time having to deal with a Cremation with only a restricted number of attendees but we were thankful for the video link they arranged that enabled all of our daughter's relatives, friends and work colleagues to join us all be it remotely. We cannot recommend Waterside Funeral Home more highly for their considerate help during a very difficult time and for those personal additions of keeping to our sunflower theme even wearing yellow in their outfits for the ceremony which could not have gone better.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Waterside Funeral Home. They dealt with my late father's funeral which was, as you would expect, a quite traumatic experience but they really helped to make the process as easy as possible. In fact, I could not find any fault in them from the initiation of instructions until the service itself. I would also add that they were responsive at all times, dealing with various requests from the family who, I know, feel the same way as I do.
