After struggling with severe peri menopausal eczema for several years, I decided to try something different. I was tired of using steroid creams and was told that HRT was my only other option after having my contraceptive implant removed. Vanessa had been recommended to me by a friend and my skin had taken a turn for the worse so I decided to give her a ring and see if she could help me. My first appointment was a long one! I broke down in tears on arrival but Vanessa was very calm, sympathetic (without being patronising) and started to talk things through with me. She found a remedy there and then for me to take and explained it was to help take down the swelling and to ease the itching. I was in a terrible state but Vanessa assured me that although homeopathy isn't a quick fix, it would get better in time. I went home and began my remedy which Vanessa had prescribed and was surprised at how much better I felt just knowing that someone had really listened to my problem and had taken the time to explore why this was happening to me and how we could fix it. The next few weeks were pretty horrendous but the remedies started to work and the support Vanessa gave was nothing less than amazing. She checked on me nearly every day either by text or phone and was always on hand should I have any questions or concerns. I'm quite a strong person usually but looking back, I needed the support much more than I had realised! Slowly but surely, things started to improve and I was able to return to work. Since then, my skin has improved to the point of being nearly normal. All but a few spots on my legs remain and apart from the odd itchy patch now and then, you would never know I suffered with eczema at all. Its taken a little longer than a quick fix of steroids but for the first time in 7 years, I actually feel like I'm over it and that I"m in control of my body, rather than my body controlling me and ruining my quality of life.
