Visited in a professional capacity today and felt the need to provide a review. I was greeted by Donna who checked my ID and made me feel very welcome to the home. Nic the home manager demonstrated a real passion for care provided to her residents and in building a team around her that have a passion in care. It was a pleasure to meet some of the residents, who were happy and treated with respect whilst having great banter. I have visited many homes and this one shows a genuine interest in its residents and all staff demonstrated they enjoy their roles, from housekeeping to care roles. Thank you Donna and Nic for showing me around and making me feel so welcome.

Oaklands is just one big family the caring nature of the staff towards residents and each other shines through. Who wouldn't want to have a huge extended family all under one roof. I love working here and thrive to continue making a house a home with a warm friendly approachable vibe.

Mum went to live in Oaklands 18 months ago due to her advanced Alzheimer's and died a couple of weeks ago. Naturally we had heard all the negative stories about homes and were fairly anxious, however we consider ourselves extremely lucky that mum was looked after here. She was treated with care, consideration and compassion and the staff went beyond what should have been expected of them in ensuring that she was as happy as she could possibly be.
